LA Times discovers “Horta” and Alexandra Panousis

The newspaper, in the food section ran a story on Alexandra Panousis, the “horta expert”. Horta in Greek refers to different varieties of greens.  Mrs. Panousis “grew up in Vasiliko, Greece, in the Peloponnesian peninsula, the youngest of 12 children born to a family of grape growers. She came to the United States in 1934 after marrying Jimmy Panousis on the heels of a two-week courtship.” She is passionate about cooking and certenly modern Greek chefs such as Cat Cora and Michael Psilakis but also younger generations can get inspiration on how to cook healthy and “hunt for greens”.
