Nichopoulos was personal physician to the King for eleven years. His book describes his experience as Elvis’s physician and friend. with Elvis on the way to the ER for the last time. Dr. Nick was  the one who signed the death certificate. Following Elvis’s death, Dr. Nick was attacked by the media as the “The Man who Killed the King” . Not only was he harassed, and his life was threatened but his professional reputation was destroyed. Dr. Nick was even banned from the Tennessee medical register. Now, for the first time, Dr. Nick reveals the truth behind Elvis’s drug use and death, contrary to the years of gross speculations.

According to the Mail newspaper, Dr Nick reveals “there is no truth in any of the many theories that continue to surface about Elvis’s lonely end. He wasn’t murdered, he did not commit suicide or even overdose. He was simply suffering from such a terrifying surfeit of illnesses that any one might have proved fatal at any time,” in his tell-all book.

Nichopolous, met and gained Elvis as his patient in 1967. Today, a week after what would have been Elvis’s 75th birthday Dr. Nick is eighty-three years old. He is the son of a Greek immigrant parents.
