Alexander Payne, Phedon Papamichael and George Clooney Film the Descendents in Hawai

Alexander Payne and Phedon Papamichael have teamed up again to repeat the “Greek” recipe of success with “The descendents”, as they did six years ago with “Sideways”. The movie is co-written, produced and directed by Alexander Payne. The screenplay is based on the novel by Kaui Hart Hemmings. Director of cinematography is Phedon Papamichael (Walk the Line, W, 3:10 to Yuma, Pursuit of Happiness ). The story revolves around  a land baron who tries to re-connect with his two daughters after his wife suffers a boating accident. The production is currently filming in Hawai. The cast includes George Clooney, Judy Greer and Shailene Woodley.
