Natalie Portman Partners with Greek Owned 1821 Pictures for New Projects

Natalie Portman and Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis

Oscar nominated actress Natalie Portman has teamed up with Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis and his partner Terry Dougas, for the production of new movies. Handsomecharlie films, a company that Portman runs together with producer Annette Savitch, will co-produce with Greek owned “1821 Pictures”. The 18-month arrangement calls for 1821 Pictures to provide overhead funds to Handsomecharlie, with the opportunity for the two companies to co-produce projects.

Kassidokostas-Latsis and Dougas were executive producers on Richard Kelly’s “The Box” and Ricky Gervais’ comedy “The Invention of Lying.”

Portman has earned a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and an Oscar nomination for her performance in “Black Swan”. The first film she produced was “Hesher”. Her most recent credit as a producer was in “No Strings Attached”. She is an executive producer on the family drama “The Other Woman,” which IFC Films will release on Friday.
