Nia Vardalos signs for ‘Cougar Town’ role

Nia Vardalos has reportedly signed up for a guest role in Cougar Town.
The My Big Fat Greek Wedding star, who is married to cast member Ian Gomez, has been linked to the comedy for some time.
TV Line says that Vardalos has now signed up to play Andy’s sister-in-law.
However, Vardalos’s character is also said to think of Andy (Gomez) as the “one who got away” and rumors have suggested that Ellie (Christa Miller) will be unhappy about her feelings for him.
Vardalos is expected to appear in an episode of Cougar Town in April.
