Tom Hanks & Rita Talk about Crisis, Greece and “Larry Crowne”

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita both talk exclusively to Greek Reporter on the red carpet of the Larry Crowne premiere in Hollywood on June 27th.

Tom commented on how he came up with the idea for the movie, saying that “Many people around him were writing the next chapters of their lives and that it got him thinking about reinvention.” He believes cinema audiences will be able to identify with the characters in the movie as the whole plot deals with getting a second chance in life.

When asked if people who face a crisis in their life would get inspired by the movie, Tom said that “He wouldn’t have used the word inspired, but thought that people would leave the movie theater feeling less cynical about life and more enlightened about the human condition.” Tom also commented on being a dad, claiming that his four children were the joy of his life.

Rita Wilson, told GreekReporter she had loved working with her husband on set and that it had been great fun. She also hoped they would have the time in their busy work schedules to visit Greece this summer.
