Greek Actor Socrates Alafouzos Wins Second International Film Award for His “Little King”

Greek actor Socrates Alafouzos won an international award for the short-length film he directed and starred in the title role,“Little King.”  His film was nominated three times in various European festivals.

Alafouzos’s film was nominated for the Best European Drama Short-length Film at the European Independent Film Festival, which took place in Paris during March 30- April 1, 2012, as well as the Best Foreign Short-length Film Prize and Best Actor Prize in a Role not of the English Language, at the Madrid Internatiοnal Film Festival, which was held on June 6-9, 2012.

His film also received the Audience’s Choice Award during the 60°N Os internasjonale filmfestival in Norway, his second international award.

The actor shared his success with friends and fans posting a relevant comment on his Facebook wall.

“With great joy and pride, I would like to inform you that my film ‘Little King’ received a second international award. On Saturday June 9, I was honored in Madrid with the BEST ACTOR IN A ROLE NOT OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGES Award at the Madrid International Film Festival.”
