Renowned director Tim Burton chose the Ionian island of Corfu to spend his summer vacation.
The American filmmaker visited the beautiful island on Saturday along with his wife, actress Helena Bonham Carter. Local corfuland.gr captured them upon their arrival at the Ioannis Kapodistrias airport.
According to the website, the couple will stay on Corfu several weeks in a luxurious villa. More specifically, they are expected to be on the island till the end of August.
Tim Burton, who became famous for his films “Edward Scissorhands,” “Dark Shadows” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” among many other quite successful movies, has worked with world’s beloved actor Johnny Depp several times.
It may be either the crisis that encouraged many Hollywood stars to visit Greece this summer to support the country and indulge themselves in its natural beautiful places or maybe not, but obviously, Hollywood has moved to Greece and we totally appreciate it.
