UK ‘X Factor’ Judge Tulisa Contostavlos Releases Solo Album

U.K. “X Factor” judge and former member of the trio N-Dubz, Tulisa Contostavlos, released her debut album “TheĀ Female Boss” last week.

Entering the charts at No. 35, “Female Boss” is the 24-year-old’s first solo album. The British singer, whose father is Greek-Cypriot and mother is Irish, performed her single “Sight of You” on an episode of “The X Factor” right around the release of the album.

The reality competition judge and N-Dubz parted ways just as she was confirmed for the show. She mentored the group Little Mix, which went on to become the most successful girl band in “X Factor” history.

In addition to her new album, Contostavlos has taken up acting, with roles in the films “Bulla” and “Demons Never Die.” She was also voted FHM’s Sexiest Woman of the Year, beating out another Greek-Irish beauty, Georgia Salpa,Ā who placed fifth in the poll.
