The 70th annual Golden Globes attracted countless stars on Sunday evening (January 13, 2013). Greek-American Tina Fey not only co-hosted the ceremony alongside her long-time friend Amy Poehler, but she was also nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Drama.  “Argo” was the night’s biggest surprise, as director Ben Affleck bounced back from an Oscar snub earlier in the week to accept Globe wins for director and Motion Picture – Drama. “Les Miserables” was also a big winner since it got statues for actor (Hugh Jackman), supporting actress (Anne Hathaway) and Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

On TV, “Homeland” had an impressive night again this year, adding a Best Actor (Damien Lewis) win to its repeats for Best Drama Series and Best Actress in a Drama Series (Claire Danes).

Adele and Anne Hathaway also won Golden Globes at the 2013 event organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The surprise of the star-studded evening was former President Bill Clinton who dropped by to introduce the nominated film “Lincoln.”
