Betty White is feeling “sexier at 91,” and after her birthday special aired last night on NBC, perhaps she could use that to her advantage to gain some votes in the 2016 election with support from former President Bill Clinton.
In a video featuring Clinton, he touted the Greek-American “Golden Girl” as the next potential President of the United States, saying, “In a time when our nation is still bitterly divided, it’s important to have a leader who’s won the respect and affection of our nation in the way that Betty has.”
He went on to say, “After all, she’s gained praise all the way from President Obama to George W. Of course I’m talking about Presidents Barack Obama and George Washington.”
With another fabulous year under her belt, the legendary actress was celebrated by fellow actors, actresses and comedians, as well as the former President. Other celebrities who turned out to wish White a happy birthday included Lily Tomlin, country singer Blake Shelton, Bill Cosby, and her “Hot in Cleveland” co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.
The show was a ratings success for NBC, garnering 6 million viewers.
