Just as Tina Fey’s television run with the series “30 Rock” has ended, she’s up on the big screen starring in the new comedy “Admission,” out in U.S. theaters today.
Fey stars as a Princeton University admissions officer up for a major promotion, but takes a risk when she meets a college-bound alternative school kid who may just be the son she gave up for adoption years ago. The film also stars Paul Rudd, and is directed by Paul Weitz (“About a Boy,” “Little Fockers”).

The Greek-American actress, who recently hosted a successful stint alongside Amy Poehler at the Golden Globes, has appeared in numerous films in addition to her television career, including “Mean Girls,” which she also wrote, and most recently, “Date Night.” Up next for her is “The Muppets…Again!,” a film currently in production based on Jim Henson’s Muppets.
