Short Film ‘Archive’ to Screen in Los Angeles

“Archive,” the award winning short film from Chris Emmanouilides, will screen at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles on Sunday, Oct. 13. The film won the Audience Choice Orpheus Award at the 2013 Los Angeles Greek Film Festival.

The short is a documentary essay that was inspired by a family trip to Greece, reflecting on the end of traditional photography and the birth of the digital universe. Before the screening, the director’s mother, Akrevoe Emmanouilides, will make a brief introduction and a historical context for the setting of the documentary. Chris Emmanouilides will be present for a Q&A session following the screening.

The Hellenic University Club and the Basil P. Caloyeras Center for Modern Greek Studies at Loyola Marymount University will present the screening with a light reception to follow.

Screening information is as follows:
Introduction at 4:30pm
Screening at 4:45pm
Reception at 6:00pm

There is an admission fee of $20/person
