After months of talk and speculation as to where and when Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock would have their wedding, the two finally got married in an intimate ceremony over the weekend.
The couple became engaged in December 2012, and plans for their nuptials quickly changed after they felt “overwhelmed” by “all the decisions,” Clarkson, 31, said in an interview with People Magazine. Initially what was supposed to be a much grander wedding ended up with the two marrying in a smaller, more intimate ceremony on a farm in Tennessee. Although she also admitted her and Brandon considered eloping at one point, Clarkson posted a tweet today saying, “I’m officially Mrs. Blackstock 🙂 We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!”
Clarkson, who is of Greek descent on her mother’s side, wore a gorgeous lace dress from Temperley. Her headpiece came courtesy of friend and fellow Greek Jim Verraros (who competed against Clarkson in the premiere season of American Idol) and Maria Elena Headpieces.
