Romain Gavras’ Feature Directorial Debut Gets US Release

OurDayWillCome_GavrasThe feature debut from music video director Romain Gavras has finally received a U.S. release. “Our Day Will Come,” about two outcasts who embark on a journey to Ireland, is now available on digital platforms.

The film, which was completed in 2010 and stars Vincent Cassel (“Black Swan) and Olivier Barthelemy (“The Burma Conspiracy”), is described as a “hallucinatory thriller” that centers on a psychologist (Cassel) and a bullied teen (Barthelemy) in search of a more tolerant community, but the path soon descends into a rampage of violence and destruction for the duo.

Gavras, the son of Academy Award-winning director Costa-Gavras, is most noted for helming Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “No Church in the Wild” video, and the controversial M.I.A. music video “Born Free.” He also recently directed Robert Pattinson in the new (and popular) Dior Homme ads that are being broadcast in Europe (except UK) and Asia (except China and Japan).
