“Extra” TV host Maria Menounos will return to the television series, “The Mindy Project,” to play a fictionalized version of herself.
The Greek-American television personality first appeared on the FOX comedy last year as a spokesmodel for the Deslaurier midwife practice. TVLine is reporting that she will appear in a few episodes this time around as the crush of Peter (played by Adam Pally), and eventually their relationship will turn into something more.
In the article, Pally described Menounos as “so awesome and so beautiful and so funny and nice,” adding, “I really liked doing scenes with her.”
No word on exactly how many episodes Menounos will appear in as the recurring character, but her second round on “The Mindy Project” begins with the show’s holiday episode.
“The Mindy Project” airs Tuesdays at 9:30pmET on FOX.
