Zach Galifianakis will create and star in a comedy series pilot for the FX network.
The Greek-American comedian and actor has teamed with another funny guy, Louis C.K. (“Louie”), who will co-write the pilot. FX signed a deal with C.K.’s production company, Pig Newton, to create new programming for the television network.
No word yet on what the title or focus of the series will be.
Galifianakis is also starring in the upcoming feature “Muppets Most Wanted,” along with Tina Fey and a slew of other big stars, as well as the comedy “Birdman,” with Emma Stone and Edward Norton.
