When Ellen Degeneres saw this clip from a real-life soap opera in Greece, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
A Greek fan sent the clip to Ellen’s show claiming that the American TV host was in the Greek soap opera Brousco. And she was right!
As one of the series characters gets nostalgic of a love affair he had years ago with a girl, he pulls out of an envelope her picture. But the picture happened to be a young brunette Ellen in her 20’s.
It’s still a mystery if the placement of Ellen’s photo as the love from the past was intentional, or the creators of the series used the photo without realizing that it was Ellen. Watch the video and Ellen’s reaction:
“I do not understand, I do not know Greek and I know that my hair was a Greek tragedy at that time. But why? Why of all my photos, this?, said Ellen.
“I do not want to spoil it, however, I will never again be with this man, ever!,” concluded the American TV host.
Brousko (Greek: Μπρούσκο) is a Greek television soap opera that is currently airing in Cyprus. Created by Vana Dimitriou, who has created successful series such as Erotas, combines elements of drama, mystery, adventure and occasionally comedy. The series stars Apostolis Totsikas, Andreas Georgiou, Eleni Vaitsou, Evelina Papoulia, Varvara Larmou and George Zenios.
The series presents a romantic and passionate love story. The love of two young people, Achilleas from Cyprus and Melina from Crete, could be based on the timeless story of Romeo and Juliet. It is a modern remake of the archetype myth, that is narrating the story of a big love.
Just, the big love of the past in this episode happened to be Ellen!
