Betty White Appearing on FOX Dog Rescue Special

BettyWhitedogIt is no secret Betty White has a love for animals. The 92-year-old is Chairman of the Los Angeles Zoo Association and owns the title of “Ambassador to the Animals.” Now, the actress, who is of Greek descent, is furthering her involvement with helping animals by making an appearance during a Thanksgiving Dog Rescue special set to air on FOX.

Hosted by Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank, The Great American Dog-a-Thon will celebrate the lives of rescue dogs as well as allow viewers the opportunity to adopt or foster them. Airing Thanksgiving Eve at 8pm ET on FOX, the two-hour event will feature music, viral videos and dog-themed awards. Information will be provided throughout the special about adoptable dogs in local areas, and viewers will be able to donate and help raise funds for multiple animal rescue organizations.

White is not the only celebrity making an appearance on the special program. Other famous faces lending their name to the cause are Scarlett Johansson, Josh Duhamel, Miranda Lambert, Kristen Bell and Fergie.
