Amy Sedaris Gives Hilarious Musical Farewell to David Letterman

Comedian and actress Amy Sedaris gave an unforgettable performance on “The Late Show” with David Letterman on Wednesday night, April 15th, in order to say goodbye to the famous late night talk show host as part of his last few weeks on the job.

Sedaris has been on the late show a total of 34 times so far, and as one of David’s favorite guests, was invited to be among the actors, entertainers, and celebrities who would come in during Letterman’s last six weeks on the job to send him off.

She proceeded to sing random snippets of lyrics from a variety of well-known songs, changing voices and characters every few seconds, to the audience’s and Letterman’s amusement.

Before her musical send-off, Sedaris poked fun at Letterman by saying “You put yourself in this position. Seriously, you were a weatherman, then you had to have your own talk show. And this is how it wraps up, okay?”

The comedienne ended her spot by calling the talk show host a “New York staple”, praising him for all he’s done and wishing him well.

In addition to Sedaris, A-listers such as George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, and Bill Murray will be stopping by “The Late Show” in the next few weeks to join in on the goodbye to Letterman.
