After years of starring on acclaimed, award-winning shows, Michael Chiklis has decided to add the title of singer to his creative talents, with the release of his debut solo album on September 16th.
Chiklis’ album, “Influence”, has an old school rock sound to it, and features a chilling single called “My Gun”.
The Emmy-winning actor is currently playing Captain Nathaniel Barnes on “Gotham”, but he used his time off to convert most of his LA home to a recording studio and produce this album.
This adventure into the music world actually isn’t that unexpected, according to Chiklis. The former “The Shield” actor told CNN, “I’ve always felt that music was just the opposite side of the same coin as acting.”
Michael Chiklis had always wanted to make his own music, but acting jobs as well as taking care of two children put his singing goals on the back burner. Now that his career is on a steady roll and his children are fully grown, he finally found the time to pursue his music dream.
