2013 Emmy Award Winners

Thanks to the amount of incredibly popular series and top quality television shows produced this last year, the 2016 Emmys was one of the most highly-anticipated Emmy shows of all time. Greek-American presenters Tina Fey and Hank Azaria were on hand to present some of the evening’s awards and add a little humor to the proceedings, after winning their own Emmys last weekend for Best Guest Actors on “SNL” and “Ray Donovan”, respectively.

As far as big winners are concerned, HBO’s hit “Game of Thrones” series walked away with 12 awards, bring the show’s total number of awards so far to 38. This means “Game of Thones” has officially won the most Emmys of any show in history, as the previous record-holder was “Frasier”, which had won 37 awards by the end of its sitcom run.

Other memorable moments of the evening include Rami Malek’s win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for “Mr. Robot”. Malek is the first non-white actor in almost 20 years to claim this prestigious award.
