Rita Wilson has been recruited by new FOX baseball drama “Pitch” to guest star in the sixth episode of the show’s first season.
On “Pitch”, Wilson will play Andrea, a psychiatrist that’s hired to meet with the show’s main character, Ginny Baker (played by Kylie Bunbury).
The show revolved around Ginny and her journey as Major League Baseball’s first female player. She faces challenges in her job as a pitcher for the San Diego Padres, partly because of her gender and partly because of the intense pressure she feels to succeed.
Wilson will be joined on the show by actress Lyndsy Fonseca, who previously played the daughter on the hit show “How I Met Your Mother”.
Other known names who have lined up to guest star on the show include Josh Peck and Kevin Connolly.
“Pitch” will premiere tomorrow on September 22, at 9 PM ET/PT. Catch the show every Thursday, and tune in to the sixth episode to see Wilson’s guest star spot.
