The Greek fashion film “Gymnast”, which stars one of the countries most famous female gymnasts, Vasiliki Millousi, is a tribute to both the sport of gymnastics and the rigorously trained Olympic athletes who compete.
Millousi appears throughout the film in Greek-designed outfits while performing various artistic routines, and eventually gives the audience some insight into her thought process and training while competing at the top tiers of her sport.
“Gymnast” features Laskaris Couture, and has been endorsed by FIG, the Gymnasting Governing body.
You may see the short fashion film pop up in festivals near you soon, as “Gymnast” has also been selected for several upcoming fashion film festivals all over the world, including the Cyprus International Film Festival, and International Fashion Film Festival Brussels.
Directed and produced by Glen MacKay, the five minute short is worth a look in order to get a glimpse into the world of gymnastics delivered in a stylish, moving way. If “Gymnast” isn’t in a festival near you, you can watch the short above.
