Zach Galifianakis Hosts Star-Studded Benefit Rock4EB!

Zach Galifianakis used his comedic talents for a good cause this past Saturday when he hosted the Rock4EB! event, a musical benefit for those who suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

The fourth annual event was held in a luxurious Malibu home and featured performances by Sting and Chris Cornell. Celebrities including Brad Pitt, Courteney Cox, and Kaley Cuoco were in attendance.

Galifianakis kicked off the event with his trademark self-deprecating humor, saying “Let me be honest, I don’t want to be here. This is a no-win situation for me. I do not want to open for Sting — I am not worth it”.

Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, which works to fight the rare and dangerous skin disease known as EB. The event is always organized by Andrea Pett-Joseph, a Hollywood power manager with a 12-year-old son, Brandon Joseph, who suffers from the disease.

Pett-Joseph addressed the crowd and thanked them for attending and performing by stating, “For a lot of us standing here tonight, we know what it’s like to live with EB and most of the time it sucks. Those moments of pain are overshadowed by the moments of joy, and tonight is one of those moments.”
