Tina Fey, who has gained as much recognition for her creating and producing capabilities as for her wonderful comedic timing and acting, has created a new series premiering on NBC Tuesday, April 25th, called “Great News”.
The show bears a lot of similarities to Tina Fey’s previous work on “30 Rock”, as it centers around the personal and professional life of Katie (Briga Heelan), who works in a local news station. “Great News” also retains the quirky, fast-paced dialogue of “30 Rock”.
Unlike in many of her other shows, such as “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, Fey does not appear in the first season of “Great News”, but there is no word yet as to if she will be appearing later in the show.
The supporting cast instead includes such comedy greats as Andrea Martin, Horatio Sanz, John Michael Higgins, and acting newcomer (though tabloid famous) Nicole Richie.
Tune in to NBC on Tuesdays at 9 PM to watch the rest of the season of “Great News”, and see what you think of Tina Fey’s latest endeavor.
