John Stamos Will Host Independence Day Celebration at US Capitol

Actor and producer John Stamos has been tapped to host the 37th annual “A Capitol Fourth” on PBS this year on July 4th – Independence Day.

The show is always broadcast live from the West Lawn of the US Capitol, and includes musical performances and fireworks displays throughout the night.

Musical guests this year include The Beach Boys (with John Stamos and Mark McGrath on guest drums and vocals), The Blues Brothers, gospel singer Yolanda Adams, Broadway star Laura Osnes, and “The Voice” winner Chris Blue.

The celebration will also feature a tribute to the men and women of the military. The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” will be performing at “A Capitol Fourth”, and members of the Armed Forces carrying the State and Territorial Flags and the Armed Forces Color Guard will also be part of the festivities.

If you want to watch John Stamos host the big bash on Independence Day in Washington D.C. for “A Capitol Fourth”, tune into PBS on July 4 at 8 PM ET, or turn on the radio and follow NPR at that time, where the program will be aired live.
