After recovering from her recent brain tumor removal, Maria Menounos is getting back to work as she was recently chosen for the judging panel of the 2018 Miss America contest.
She will be joining other celebrities on the panel including actress Molly Sims, 2014 Miss America winner Nina Davuluri, “People”‘s editor Jess Cagle, singer Jordin Sparks, and country music star Thomas Rhett.
A seventh judge will be announced closer to the show, which takes place on September 10.
This year marks the 97th annual Miss America contest, which aims to pick winners based not just on looks, but also on talent and interview skills. The winner of the contest receives a full scholarship to college.
Menounos has a lot of experience in hosting, but she also has some experience with beauty pageants herself as well, as she was previously crowned Miss Massachusetts Teen USA in 1996.
We are glad Maria Menounos seems to be recovering well and getting back to her career in entertainment.
