TV host Maria Menounos traveled to Fenway Park in Boston today in order to debut her latest enterprise: a food vendor named Maria’s Greek Kitchen that will serve sports fans at the historic baseball park.
Menounos revealed that part of her motivation in unveiling this new food vendor was to provide healthier, but still tasty, options in contrast to the usually unhealthy snacks provided at sports venues. As the host herself stated, “I wanted my food to be simple at the park for people so that eating healthy wasn’t cumbersome”.
The menu for Maria’s Greek Kitchen includes staples of Greek cuisine like beef and chicken kabobs, gyros, salad wraps, and other Mediterranean dishes, all made with natural, organic ingredients.
Menounos just recently recovered from brain cancer, which also affected her mother at around the same time; she said she was inspired by her mother, as they are both focusing on healthy eating and living while in recovery.
The Greek-American celebrity is originally from Medford, Massachusetts, so being able to open a business within one of the state’s most beloved venues is certainly a hometown victory for Menounos.
