Sorry ladies and Uncle Jessie fans, but it looks like John Stamos is officially off the market.
Stamos has been dating actress Caitlin McHugh for over a year, and on Sunday night he broke the news of his engagement on social media.
The 54-year old actor tweeted “I asked…she said yes!…And we lived happily ever after”, with a diamond ring emoji and an illustration of an animated couple embracing in front of a Disney-like castle.
The engagement doesn’t come as much of a surprise to fans who have been following the pair; the two have been dating since early 2016, and though Stamos and McHugh prefer to keep a low profile rather than flaunt their relationship in the tabloids, the little news that has leaked out about them made them seem quite serious about each other.
Just last week, Stamos was a guest on a radio show with Ryan Seacrest, and when the conversation of marriage came up, he mentioned that he’s “dating and very much in love”.
Though the pair has a couple of decades age difference, as Stamos is 54 and McHugh is 32, they always seem well-matched and happy to be together.
This will be Stamos’ second marriage, as he was formerly married to Rebecca Romjin from 1998 to 2005.
