John Stamos has been cast as a recurring guest star in a new drama on Lifetime called “You”, a psychological thriller series that also stars Penn Badgley of “Gossip Girl” fame and Elizabeth Lail.
Written by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, the series focuses on Badgley and Lail, who play Joe and Beck, a genius bookstore manager and aspiring writer who meet and instantly form a connection. According to “Deadline”, it is a 21st-century love story that poses the question to viewers: “What would you do for love?”
Stamos plays the part of Dr. Nicky, who causes some friction between Badgley and Lail’s characters as he becomes a very important part of Beck’s life.
The series is based on a best-selling novel by Caroline Kepnes, also titled “You”. The series premiere will be some time in 2018, though the exact date is still unknown.
