We knew Maria Menounos and her longtime boyfriend, Keven Undergaro, were engaged, but we had no idea that they were planning to get married on New Year’s Eve on live television, in front of millions of viewers!
Menounos was set to co-host the Fox New Year’s Eve Special with Steve Harvey live from New York City, but the audience was in for an extra treat as the 39-year old host and presenter walked out in a gorgeous lace wedding dress designed by Pronovias Randala, ready to be wed.
With temperatures well below freezing in Times Square, Steve Harvey, who presided over the ceremony, joked, “this has got to be a pretty cold wedding … so let’s get you guys married”, before marrying the couple.
Both Keven’s and Maria’s vows were quite emotional; Menounos went through a very trying year after a diagnosis of brain cancer and surgery for tumor removal.
On live TV, facing her life partner, Maria said, “I love you so much … I just wanted to marry you so bad before surgery, after surgery, and I couldn’t think of a better way to do it than right here. Steve, thank you so much for doing this for us.”
