Dave Bautista has nabbed yet another high-profile role in Hollywood, joining forces with Kumail Nanjiani in the action-comedy “Stuber”.
After supporting roles in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, “Spectre”, and plenty of other blockbuster films, Bautista will be playing a lead in his new movie.
The film follows a mild-mannered Uber driver named Stu (Nanjiani) who finds himself picking up a rough-around-the-edges cop (played by Bautista) on the trail of a vicious murderer. The duo end up on a pursuit that tests their wits, their lives, and Stu’s five-star Uber rating all at once.
Nanjiani is just coming off the box office and critical success of his film “The Big Sick”, while Bautista was most recently seen in “Blade Runner: 2049”.
“Stuber” will be directed by Michael Dowse, and produced by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.
