John has recently opened up about finally taking on pilates, despite the fact that the whole experience is a bit awkward and silly for him, due to the exercise positions he has to practice… Yes…we can only imagine!! As a matter of fact, he stated that ” They plot before I get there…How can we make John look ridiculous? Because every exercise involved my legs up, like I’m in the stirrups or something.”

Putting aside his discomfort, he actually discovered the high of the class…”..the good thing is, I have a beautiful woman’s body now, I have a great ass now.”

We bet that with supporters like him, women everywhere now will be queing up to join their local gyms and enroll in the next available pilates class, in order to achieve results like his.

Maroulis — who placed sixth in the fourth season of the show — has landed the starring dual role in the upcoming production of “Jekyll & Hyde.” Maroulis will play both Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde in the musical based on the Robert Louis Stevenson story, which begins a 25-week national tour at the Civic Theatre in San Diego, Calif. on October 2 before beginning a limited Broadway run in Spring 2013.

The show, which bowed on Broadway in 1997 and played for four years, was written by Tony-nominated composer Frank Wildhorn, with a book by Oscar and Grammy winner Leslie Bricusse. Jeff Calhoun, whose credits include “High School Musical: On Tour!” and “Big River” on Broadway, will direct and choreograph the revival. Nederlander Presentations will produce.

Maroulis made his Broadway debut in “The Wedding Singer” and is currently in the title role of “Toxic Avenger” at the Alley Theatre in Houston. His debut album, “Constantine,” was released on his own label, Sixth Place Records.

Maroulis is no stranger to musical theater: the 36-year-old belter, known for his dark, untamed mane, received a best actor Tony Award nomination for his performance in “Rock of Ages” (he’ll also play a small role in the upcoming big-screen version, starring Tom Cruise), and has performed on stage presentations of “The Wedding Singer” and “Rent.”

Everybody was waiting for it and yes…finally the confirmation has come through. The “Hangover” boys will be back for another drunken installment of the film franchise, and it came as no surprise that after months of negotiations, the 3 main stars have actually snagged themselves a huge payday.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and our very own Zach Galifianakis are signing on for a threequel and their agreed upon payday will be $15million each; you heard it right! The deals are nearly signed after a 4 month stall, in which the 3 actors banded together to fight for a $15 million paycheck, a paycheck they admittedly deserve after their comic antics on screen made the first two “Hangovers” smash hits. The actors know they are irreplaceable as the central group of close-knit friends in the movies.

Back in December 2011, Bradley Cooper said that filming for the 3rd movie is expected to begin in September, and also that this movie will close the trilogy. He also hinted that the possible location is LA, and this time the story might be different.

Well, with a trio like that, no matter where and how the movie is filmed, it’s bound to be a success.

Beverly Hills, CA – Nominations for the 84th Academy Awards were announced today (Tuesday, January 24) by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and 2010 Oscar® nominee Jennifer Lawrence.

Sherak and Lawrence, who was nominated for an Academy Award® for her lead performance in “Winter’s Bone,” announced the nominees in 10 of the 24 Award categories at a 5:38 a.m. PT live news conference attended by more than 400 international media representatives.

Second Generation Greek-American director, Alexander Payne, is nominated in three categories in the upcoming Oscars with “The Descendants” for best picture, director and adapted screenplay. Payne won an Oscar for screenwriting for his film “Sideways” in 2005.

Academy members from each of the branches vote to determine the nominees in their respective categories – actors nominate actors, film editors nominate film editors, etc. In the Animated Feature Film and Foreign Language Film categories, nominations are selected by vote of multi-branch screening committees. All voting members are eligible to select the Best Picture nominees.

Nominations ballots were mailed to the 5,783 voting members in late December and were returned directly to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the international accounting firm, for tabulation.

Official screenings of all motion pictures with one or more nominations will begin for members this weekend at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Screenings also will be held at the Academy’s Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood and in London, New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.

All active and life members of the Academy are eligible to select the winners in all categories, although in five of them – Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject and Foreign Language Film – members can vote only if they have seen all of the nominated films in those categories.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2011 will be presented on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

Yes…you heard it right…the famous actor is the face of a new commercial for Dannon Yogurt!

In fact, the company just announced that this year’s Super Bowl will be home to the first ever yogurt commercial to air during the big game.

Well there is more good news to go around. Dannon has decided to collaborate with actor John Stamos, in order to promote their Oikos Greek Yogurt brand, and the commercial will air during the 3rd quarter of Super Bowl XLVI and will also be pushed through the Oikos Facebook and You Tube pages.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that John Stamos, or shall we say, our very own Uncle Jesse, has appeared in a Dannon Oikos’ TV commercial, and hopefully if the commercial is successful, his run with Oikos will continue.

This positive news makes it clear that even during such difficult times for Greece, there are still big names out there who are willing to invest and promote Greek products.

Betty White, the America’s cool grandmother, turns 90 today Tuesday (Jan. 17). To celebrate the big day, NBC threw an all-star party for the actress.

“Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl” featured a number of A-Listers honoring White, a multi-time Emmy winner. Some of the attendees included Ellen DeGeneres, Morgan Freeman, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan and William Shatner.

Some of Betty’s most memorable co-stars, from the ladies of Hot in Cleveland to the legendary Mary Tyler Moore, paid tribute to the eternal Golden Girl with jokes, stories, and of course, musical numbers!

Zachary Levi who kissed Betty White at her party tweeted about it.

“Soooooo, I may have just made out with Betty White. This is not a joke.”

Levi also told her he wants to marry her, shows her a ring and a prenup, and says he needs an answer soon so he can find a backup girl, namely Carol Burnett.

And then she lays a big ol smooch on him. “Forget about those other girls,” she says.

Watch the video:

It’s been quite a ride for White recently. Her series “Hot in Cleveland” just got picked up for a fourth season. And if that wasn’t enough, her role as Elka Ostrovsky earned her an Emmy nomination in 2011 and a Screen Actor Guild nomination in 2012. She also just published the book “Betty & Friends: My Life at the Zoo.”
