The Greek Heritage Society of Southern California has finished A 7 minute trailer of “The Promise of Tomorrow”, a documentary about Greek-Americans. “We are very close to completing this second part of our Greek American trilogy.” ” The content is moving, uplifting, and it is an essential part of our Greek American history! Many of the stories of duality– Greek at home, American outside the home — will make you laugh and cry in the same breath,” said Shelly Papadopoulos, the director of the organization. She also emphasized the fact that more funds are needed for the completion of the feature film. “We need to preserve and celebrate our Greek American history, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!” “The Promise of Tomorrow” begins with World War II vets and encompasses those postwar years and watching the first generation grow up and begin their own families.
