Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Kary Antholis Talk about “The Pacific”

We met Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Kary Antholis at “The Pacific” premiere on February, 24th at the Chinese Theater in the heart of Hollywood. The new WWII themed HBO mini-series is produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman. In the following on camera interviews Tom Hanks explains the importance of such stories on TV, and Spielberg talks about his father who was in the army.  In addition there is a Greek connection in the series as president of HBO Mini-Series, Kary Antholis revealed. In one of the episodes, written by Greek-American author George Pelecanos one of the soldiers falls in love with  a young Greek girl whose family has immigrated to Australia from Smyrna after the Greek genocide.
