Everything goes great for Betty White since a Facebook campaign got her the hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, which resulted in huge ratings. The Greek-American and former Golden Girls star is now appearing in a new television sitcom Hot in Cleveland.
So what’s next for Betty White? She’s posing for a 2011 calendar, which will go on sale in September. As you might expect from White’s recent TV appearances, the calendar will be edgy. According to AP “Some of the photos are archival, others are Betty with animals and more than one month features Betty posing with shirtless, beefcake-type men.”
Eighty-eight year old Betty Marion White had a blossom career for over sixty-five years, in TV and the big screen. Her television roles include Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and of course Rose Nylund from The Golden Girls.
Her Greek heritage comes from her mother Tess Cachikis, while her dad was of German ancestry.
White has achieved the distinction of the oldest SNL host ever. She now may become the America’s most senior pin-up girl. Proceeds from the Betty White Calendar will benefit an animal charity.
Over her 70-year entertainment career, White has won six Emmys and is a member of the Television Hall of Fame.
