The Los Angeles Times movie blog, 24 Frames, announced a very exciting project circulating Hollywood. Tina Fey is expected to pair up with Meryl Streep for a mother/daughter film to directed by Stanley Tucci.
Steven Zeitchik originally broke the story on the LA Times blog by stating there is no script and no actors signed on to the film just yet, but the thought of having the brilliant Fey and Streep together on the big screen is almost too good to be true. It should allow the two very talented women to shine in both the dramatic and comedic category.
Zeitchik also suspects that Sony, based on their recent movie past, will be the studio that snags this deal.
Creative Artists Agency has been circulating a film package to several studios with the interesting proposition to have Tucci direct Streep and Tina Fey. Again, nothing has been officially report just yet, but if Tucci, Streep and Fey are truly on board for the film, it’s hard to imagine any studio that would refuse it.
