Actor Avraam Papadopoulos Cultivates an International Career

In contrast with the roles of a body guard and policeman that he has played, in real life Avraam Papadopoulos is a very calm guy with gentle manners, who loves acting and performing. His character helped him to develop a harmonious collaboration with a lot of directors. The young actor expressed his wish and will to succeed in making a career abroad and in the U.S.A. Furthermore, Avraam talked about his role in the movie “Roda, tsanta kai kopana”, as well as the public’s reaction in London during the London Greek Film Festival.

He stated that he is really optimistic about the future of movie production in Greece, taking into account the excitement of the English public towards Greek movies. They are very keen on Greek ideas and culture. They watch a movie from a different point of view and estimate aspects that we cannot even imagine.

The talented actor wanted to thank all those people who trusted him because he has been given the chance to play comic and tragic roles mentioning, his last role in the movie of Vassilis Borris, who was inspired by the assassination of Alexandros Grigoropoulos in 2008, in Athens. He pointed out that it is a serious issue which has gained the interest of international society, making it clear that the director dealt with it appropriately and did not take any advantage of it. Apart from this movie, Avraam has also played in “180 moires”, “The Death I Dreamed Of” and “Sto Vathos Kipos”.

Last but not least, he expressed his opinion about the crisis torturing Greece. He strongly believes that Greece has an ace up its sleeve: its culture, theater and tourism. Nevertheless, except Melina Merkouri who respected our heritage and past, according to Avraam, all governments have underestimated our “wealth”. “We have to realize that if we promote in a right way what we produce, we will definitely gain ground fast and effectively”.
