Assuming that people in Hollywood and wealthy residents in the US knowing nothing or little of Salonika and Halkidiki, this is going to change. And how is this? Due to EXTRA channel and the special tribute “Mansions & Millionaire”, presented by Michael Koppert in NBC.
A seven-member crew of the show was found in Macedonia few days ago. They attempt to complete a tribute happening only twice a year regarding exotic destinations of the world.
The show is a Warner Bros production and is watched by 2.400.000 viewers all over the world. The show focuses on expensive hotels, high class restaurants and cultural-natural treasures of the nation.
This tribute will have interviews of Greek stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Zach Galifianakis and Nia Vardalos.
Different bodies and persons cooperate with each other as to accomplish this significant attempt. These include the Greek Counsel in LA, the National Tourism Organization of Salonika, the Hotel Association of Halkidiki and the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT).
Shooting took place in luxury resorts of Halkidiki, in the historic centre and the castles of Salonika and in the Royal Tombs of Vergina.
Regarding the reaction of the American people until now, the show is going to know great success.
According to the show, Americans should visit apart from Mykonos, Santorin and Athens, the top place of all, Salonika.
