Oscar Unrelated: Famous German TV Hosts on the Greek Crisis from the Red Carpet

Steven Gätjen and Annemarie Warnkross, two of the most famous German TV-hosts tell us the German side of the Greek Crisis

We met them at the Oscars but we couldn’t resist and not ask them what do they think about the Greek crisis and how they feel towards Greece and its people. Steven Gätjen and Annemarie Warnkross,  two of the most famous German TV-hosts tell us the German side of the story; what they think about the crisis, the bailout, Angela Merkel and how the Greeks are portrayed by the German media.

Steven Gätjen, a TV host of ProSieben points out that the two nations  instead of focusing on the problem and how to empower Europe have made the situation one of a kindergarden with constant insults in both Greek and German media. He also says that  times are hard in all continents.

“It’s not a crisis only in Greece, or Europe, it is everywhere – look at the states, they are owned by the Chinese. We should focus on the roots of the problem and follow lifestyles that we can afford. We should spend money we earn and not money we don’t have. ” Watch the interview below:

Annemarie Warnkross – who hosts a daily show at Prosieben and is covering the Oscars this year – also spoke to Greek Reporter about how does she feel that some of  the taxes she pays go towards the Greek bailout and admitted that Merkel is a tough cookie. She says that she will visit Greece this summer  for the first time to help our economy and that Europe will make it in the end if we are all united. Watch her interview:
