After the successful Greek participation of Ria Antoniou in the Italian “Dancing With the Stars”, the Greek “Extra” host, Maria Menounos, is now feverishly rehearsing for the premiere of the US “Dancing With the Stars” on March 19 on the ABC channel.
Along with her professional partner, Derek Hough, Menounos is very happy about her participation and very nervous at the same time because she has a lot to learn and wants to do her best on the show. She is now learning the Cha Cha and Foxtrot, while she claims to have no previous knowledge of dance.
“Now expectations are so high, and I’m not a dancer!” she tells TVGuide.com. “I’m literally learning from scratch and it scares me. I would rather have everyone think completely nothing of me and I show them a little something, and it’s like, ‘Oh, wow! She can do something!'”.
Her fans have already sent Menounos their emails of support and everyone is anxiously waiting for the premiere.
Overall, 14 couples are starring in this year’s show, including actors and former tennis championess Martina Navratilova.
