“The Three Stooges” Star Studded Premiere (video & interviews)

“The Three Stooges” premiere on Saturday, April 7, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood brought out numerous stars to the red carpet. The legendary characters have been resurrected to the big screen by “Dumb and Dumber” creators Bobby and Peter Farrelly, who produced, wrote and directed the film.

Speaking to us at the premiere was none other than our very own Greek-Canadian Chris Diamantopoulos, who stars as one of the Stooges.

Most of the cast members, including the other two lead actors – Sean Hayes and Will Sasso – as well as “Glee” actress Jane Lynch attended, talking to Greek Reporter live on camera. Check out the video featuring coverage and interviews from the red carpet.

Other attendees included Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Becki Newton, Sara Rue and Perrey Reeves.

The movie spins a current twist on the original “Three Stooges.” Left on the doorstep of an orphanage run by nuns, three newborn knuckleheads grow up to be finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking janitors named Larry (Sean Hayes), Curly (Will Sasso) and Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos). When they learn that financial problems will force the only home they’ve ever known to close, the trio set out to raise $830,000 in one month. Stepping out in the world for the very first time, the three innocent bumblers become embroiled in a murder plot and find stardom on a TV reality show.

“The Three Stooges” hits theaters on April 13!

  1. Never was a big fan of three growing men hit each other,I could not see no humor in the way they acted. Yet I did watch them here and there, back in the olden days.

  2. This humor was the last of “slap stick style” comedy, the type of humor that reached the stomach to the point of keeling over, pure humor without all the critics. You either loved it or left it alone. I love it and it never grows old.

  3. My friends and I will never even consider seeing this trainwreck. All of us are true Three Stooges fans and consider this rubbish an insult.

  4. It’s a tribute.   If you’re someone who loves the Stooges, don’t be a knucklehead and pass on this.   Every time you poked your brother in the eyes or konked him on the head it was a tribute to the Stooges.  Only now it’s on the big screen with a big budget.  The Farrelly Brothers are fans just like the rest of us.   God bless them for trying to keep the leagcy going and trying to introduce it to younger generations that only know things like Robot Chicken.  I’ll bet Seth Green was inspired by the Stooges.   If you try but fall flat on your face at least you tried.

  5. Seems to me they have done their best to honor the stooges with a good group of actors that have done a great job in reviving one of my childhood favorites.

  6.  Sorry to see that your gene pool deleted the satire chromosome when you were created.

  7. Come on people! Its a TRIBUTE to the original to the Three Stooges. All you (hater), so called, “true fans” claim that this movie movie is an “insult,” yeah, I’d love to see you do a better job; write a better script; or cast better actors. Oh! What’s that? You CAN’T, because you “true fans” are a bunch of idiots that are too stubborn to give this movie a chance, plus, you wouldn’t know the first thing about how to make a movie. I for one, am a REAL Three Stooges fan that will see this movie not knowing what to expect but very excited to see this film, and willing to give it a chance.

  8. Perhaps you should move to a love camp where everyone is sweet and nice to each other

  9. I happen to know the writer of this film and Stooges fans will not be disappointed.  He is a true Stooges fan and wrote this film to pay tribute to the Stooges and bring them to a new generation.  The movie is true to the Stooges and in no way will disrespect the legacy of the Three Stooges because he wouldn’t have it any other way.  If movie snobs won’t go see it, it’s there loss.

  10. I am puzzled why some fans are upset about this flick. I have been watching the Stooges since I was 5, so that’s 31 years of watching. I was beyond thrilled when I learned that this was finally going to be made, by TRUE fans (The Farrelly Brothers). I think it will be fun to watch!! 🙂

  11. Was so glad to see Moe smacking the cast of Jersey Shore around.God I can’t stand them!
