Famous star Barbra Streisand chose a Greek restaurant in Malibu for a very important day of hers – her 70th birthday. The restaurant offers Greek live music seven days a week, and the most beloved attraction for clients are, of course, dozens of Greek delicacies.
Barbra’s popularity was apparent judging by the turn out at her 70th birthday last night. A-list celebrities including Jane Fonda, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Steven Spielberg, Josh Brolin, Diane Lane, Pierce Brosnan, Warren Beatty and Kenny G. were among the guests to attend dinner at Taverna Tony’s in Malibu, California, reports a dailymail.co.uk article.
The birthday cake, which was seen being brought out by two restaurant employees, featured a thick layer of icing and was adorned with plenty of flowers.
To celebrate her milestone, a hardback book entitled “Barbra: A Retrospective by Allegra Rossi,” was published on her birthday yesterday. The book is a celebration of her rich and varied career as a singer, actress, director and political activist.
As well as her stunning career, Barbra is known for her radiant, youthful appearance. Unlike modern stars, such as Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, Barbra is almost pathologically averse to exercise and yet no one can believe that she just turned 70.
Barbra says her timeless beauty is due to a happy home life with James Brolin, whom she met in 1996 and married two years later. “Home” is a sprawling cliff-top estate in Malibu, complete with a white-washed mansion, rustic mill house with a 14ft water wheel, and a cozy cottage she calls “Grandma’s House.”
