Actor Zach Galifianakis, famous for his role in “The Hangover” may be having a few crazy stories from his own bachelor party soon enough. The 42-year-old Greek-American has proposed to his longtime girlfriend Quinn Lundberg, 29. Celebuzz reports that invitations have already been sent out for an August 11 wedding date, which is one day after the release of his film “The Campaign,” co-starring Will Ferrell.
According to the article, the newly engaged couple have registered for a limited amount of gifts under a pseudonym, and are instead asking donations be made to the non-government organization that Lundberg, a former ballerina, co-founded called Growing Voices, which Galifianakis actively supports.
Galifianakis was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. His mother, Mary Frances, ran a community center for the arts, and his father, Harry Galifianakis, was a heating oil vendor. Galifianakis’ paternal grandparents emigrated from Crete, Greece where Zach was baptized in his father’s Greek Orthodox faith. His mother is of Scots-Irish descent. His uncle, Nick Galifianakis, was a congressman from North Carolina between 1967 and 1973. He attended Wilkes Central High School, and subsequently attended but did not graduate from North Carolina State University, where he was a communications major.
