‘Two Faces of January’ Begins Filming in Greece

Mortensen and Dunst in Greece

“Two Faces of January” began filming in Athens this past week. Photos of cast and crew shooting scenes around the Acropolis have just been released, with the filming location moving to Crete in a few days.

“Two Faces of January” stars Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac. Based on a 1964 novel by Patricia Highsmith, the plot revolves around a con artist (Mortensen) who accidentally kills a private detective that had tracked him down from the U.S. to Athens. On the run with his wife (Dunst) and a young American (Isaac), they travel through the Greek islands and Istanbul. The getaway unleashes betrayal, deception, and one of the three will die.
