Betty White Awarded ‘Who-Manitarian of the Year’ in Hollywood

If you lost your chance to bid on a date with Betty White for charity, then you missed out on meeting the newly crowned “Who-Manitarian of the Year.”

The actress, known for her dedication as an animal activist, was given the honor at Universal Studios Hollywood. She was presented the award by a local rescue dog named Max, who happens to be the Grinch’s sidekick.

The 90-year-old Hollywood legend has also been named “Ambassador to the Animals,” and serves as the Chairman of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.

The celebration kicks off “Grinchmas” at Universal Studios, with celebrities reading the Dr. Seuss book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” to visitors through December 31. Nia Vardalos participated in the event with a reading on December 8.
