Actress Marie Avgeropoulos Begins Filming on ‘Tracers’

'Tracers' setGreek-Canadian actress Marie Avgeropoulos has begun filming “Tracers” with “Twilight”‘s Taylor Lautner.

On-location in New York City, the actors were seen together on and off the set while “Tracers” is shooting in the area. Avgeropoulos plays Nikki in the action thriller, which revolves around a bike messenger (Lautner) wanted by the mafia who ends up escaping into the world of parkour – a non-competitive discipline based on utility, progression, and durability in physical, mental, and emotional aspects – after meeting a beautiful stranger (Avgeropoulos).

Born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Avgeropoulos got her first big break at the age of 21 when she attended an open casting call in Vancouver and quickly picked up an agent.

The Greek-Canadian beauty booked her first feature role in “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” and also appeared in “The Inbetweeners,” which was set in Greece, and “50/50.” She’s also been on several television shows including “Supernatural,” “90210,” and “Human Target.”

It’s rumored that Lautner and Avgeropoulos may be getting close off-set as well. The two were spotted spending leisurely time in New York while Avgeropoulos gets around on crutches after recently injuring her leg.

“Tracers” is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2014.
