Matenopoulos, who was a co-host on the show from 1997-1999, is heading to the daytime talk program to discuss, among other things, her upcoming cookbook, It’s All Greek to Me: Transform Your Health the Mediterranean Way with My Family’s Century-Old Recipes. Over the summer, the Greek-American visited Athens and surrounding areas to prepare and perfect her recipes while also shooting an episode for the OWN television network series, ”Oprah: Where Are They Now?”
In addition to appearing on “The View,” Matenopoulos is in New York to support the ALS Association. She attended the Walk to Defeat ALS in Long Island, NY on Sunday, Sept. 22. Her father, Niko Matenopoulos, passed away from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2012, and she has been an advocate in raising awareness for the disease by hosting fundraisers and taking part in various events with the ALS Association.
To catch Matenopoulos on “The View,” tune in to ABC Sept. 26 @ 11E/10P.
