An exclusive gala and charity fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for Greek Charity Praksis, dedicated to assist the homeless in Greece ,took place in Hollywood on October 9th, 2013.
Guests mixed and mingled with some of Hollywood’s most famous Greek celebrity names while enjoying delicious authentic Greek desserts and cocktails. The night also included live entertainment as well as live and silent auctions.
The event was attended by the former Queen Anne-Marie of Greece and her daughter Princess Theodora, Nia Vardalos, Melina Kanakaredes, Ariana Savalas, Patricia Kara, fashion stylist George Kotsiopoulos, singer/songwriter Vassy, and actress Sofia Milos.

The event was organized by Jane Owen of JOPR and was co-produced by Greek actress Vicky Bakis.
PRAKSIS is an independent NGO, which has as its main goal the creation, application and implementation of humanitarian and medical action.
PRAKSIS, activates all across Greece and especially in the two major urban centers of Athens and Thessaloniki, the island of Lesbos and in the area of Patras. Simultaneously, volunteers of PRAKSIS are located and activated in different parts of Greece.
The main goal of the organization is to combat the social and economic exclusion of socially vulnerable groups, and to defense their base civil and social rights.
